Cornell to Form Pep Promoters Body for Next Year

A student committee led by John Coulson outlines a 12 member pep promoters group to organize all athletic event celebrations. Members from the senior and junior classes plus two sophomores will be elected, with freshmen joining later. The group will handle pep meetings, stunts, and visitor logistics for games.

Evens Win Diamond Series Championship at Five Frames

The Evens beat the Odds 35 36 in a close morning diamond clash to capture the five frame series baseball title. The Odds led early, but the Evens surged in the final innings to prevail as champions, completing a sweep of major varsity titles including hockey and basketball in Cornell girls athletics.

President Flint Returns Home After Hospital Stay

President Flint returned to Mt. Vernon from a ten day stay at St Lukes hospital in Cedar Rapids. He underwent a serious operation and has recovered nicely and hopes to be in good condition within a month. Dr Flint is up and around and may attend commencement week programs if improvement continues.

Cornell Alumnus to Speak at Fiftieth Anniversary Commencement

A Cornell alumnus will deliver the commencement address for the fiftieth anniversary. Ex Senator Edgar T. Brackett of Saratoga Springs New York class of 1872 will speak while Prof William Warren Sweet of DePauw University will give vesper remarks. Dr Geo Elliott editor of the Methodist Review is expected to attend. Rev E F Tittle will deliver the baccalaureate in place of Dr Flint. he is pastor of First Methodist in Evanston and a leading young Methodist leader.

The Social Science club elects Professor S. L. Chandler as president and Isabelle Sones as secretary treasurer for 1922 23. The International Relations club selects Professor H. C. Stancliff as president and Jose Valencia as secretary treasurer for 1922 23.

Cornell scrubs defeated Knox College 4 to 1 by telegraph in a five event track meet. The meet used a novel method averaging the first five in each event with no entrant in more than one event. Cornell emphasized athletics for all with Director Finger guiding intramurals.

Monday Probable for Coe Contest Amid Weather Delays

The Coe baseball schedule has been disrupted by heavy rain at Ash Park. The Dubuque game is postponed to possibly later in the week with a return clash against the Crimson slated for next Monday at four o clock. Examinations and season end mix with travel plans. Coe and Carleton remain the lone non state schools to win large shares in the Midwest conference.
