Sandburg to Speak at Cornell College Pilgrimage
Carl Sandburg, famed poet and Lincoln biographer, plans his sixteenth annual pilgrimage to Cornell College next Monday June 1. He will appear in the Lower Chapel at 8 p m with a pre hearing of verse from The People and will report on his adventures since last May. He will also sing folk songs in a baritone recital with guitar accompaniment.

Brand Seeks Funds for Cornell Wrestler Berlin Olympic Trip
A drive to raise 300 dollars to send Dale Brand 123 pound Cornell wrestler to the Berlin Olympics will start Wednesday. Brand was an alternate on the 1936 U S Olympic wrestling squad and needs funds to cover travel and expenses not provided by the Olympic committee. Contributions are expected from C men wrestling supporters Fort Dodge Brand’s hometown and from Cornell students faculty and campus groups.

Boward Weismiller, a Boward sophomore, received first honorable mention in Atlantic Monthly Magazine's annual undergraduate poetry contest for his poem Evening. Milts Spring Formal Set For Cedar Rapids Saturday
Members of the Milt social group will hold their spring formal in the Terrace garden of the Montrose hotel Cedar Rapids. The event has been postponed to this week due to a conflicting track meet.
