Dr Ralph W Sockman will deliver the commencement address Monday June 10 as the eighty seventh Cornell graduating class receives degrees. President Magee will give the baccalaureate sermon Sunday June 9 with the procession at 9 30 a m. Alumni events run June 8 9 and 10 including reunions for classes 1894 1935 1890 and 1915 and the play Family Portrait.

Summer Session At Cornell Offers Broad Liberal Arts
Cornell will open a five week summer colony term on June 11 with a second session starting July 16. The program covers art, literature, natural and social sciences, philosophy and religion with a strong fine arts emphasis. It includes private piano with Jacques Jolas, voice violin and organ study, summer theatre and a geology field course in Wyoming led by Dr. Neil A. Miner and Dr. David M. Delo.

Professor Jacques Jolas will present a Sunday benefit recital for refugees from his native Iorbach France. The event Sunday May 26 at 4 p.m. in the chapel features an exact duplicate program from a prior Forbach visit. Tickets cost 50 cents adults 25 cents students.

Sunday Restrictions Planned for Campus Activities
The advisory council met in a special session to consider banning sports and laboratory work on Sundays. They agreed that from 9:30 to 12 Sundays the athletic field and gymnasium will be closed, no scheduled rehearsals or lab work should occur, and sports may occur outside these hours.
