College Mourns After Drowning Of Marie Brace At Picnic
Seventeen year old Marie Brace daughter of Mr and Mrs Stephen Brace of Mount Vernon died when a rowboat capsized during a Palisades picnic attended by the Christophers Sunday School class. Joe Lodge, another Academy student, struggled to save her but both occupants sank amid the current and a jagged rock. Her body was recovered around 7:00 pm. The community learns she hoped to become a missionary to China and the Christophers pledge to fund The Marie Brace Memorial School in her memory.

Angel chorus shines in society charity concert
The evening featured the angel chorus Miss Metcalf calf Miss Rigby May Carolus Maude Browning and Lillian Guild with special music led by Professor Shaw assisted by Miss Metcalf Miss Rigby Mr Swain and Mr Crawford. No hitch in the performance and the society and Professor Lambert receive praise for a beautiful rendition.
