In the morning election Arthur Kindred Wallace McCullen Orville Welzel Binford Arney and Stanley Todd were chosen to represent their classes in the Men's Senate next year. A prior Wednesday election was voided due to only forty four voters. Ninety two votes were cast this morning.

Men’s Senate Honors Three For Key Awards
Ralph Johnson Wallace McCulen and Gerald Garard earned sufficient points for the Men’s Senate Honor Keys. Johnson led the Pep Club, lettered in football and basketball, and did outside work. McCullen played varsity football and basketball, joined the Glee Club and Oratorio Society, and did outside work. Garard served as class officer and contributed as Cornellian reporter debater and Glee Club and Oratorio Society member. Earlier keys went to Lloyd Appleton John Mogenson Arthur Kindred Kirby Cook Orville Welzel Gale Allen.

Spanish Students Dine At K Inn
About thirty-five students in the Spanish department enjoyed a dinner at the K-Inn last Wednesday. Miss Bessie Howland and Mrs. L. R. Herrick were guests. Ralph Johnson led a toast program with class reps presenting short toasts on Columbus, Don Quixotte, Spanish art, and Spanish poetry. Victrola music from Miss Howland’s record collection closed the event.

Dr. S. L. Chandler of the sociology department delivered the commencement address to the local high school graduating class last evening. The talk titled Sociological Progress in Western Europe addressed the seniors in the high school auditorium. This year’s class is the first to graduate in the new high school building.

Thirty Cornell seniors and undergraduates have secured teaching positions through the teachers' placement bureau with assistance from instructors. Some jobs were obtained without direct bureau help, but credentials were distributed through the agency. Fees allow recommendations to be kept on file for possible future use, and cooperation with major professors is expected to boost placement efficiency.

Marian Hill Betts Dies After Long Illness
Mrs Marian Hill Betts mother of Alice R Betts dean of women died after a four months illness at the home of Miss Nama Lathe. She was born 1856 in Newcastle Pa and was 73. She leaves two sisters in Seattle and Salt Lake City and a son Wm C Betts Jr who died in 1916. Funeral services are at the M E church with interment at Muscatine.
