Northcott Named Head of Cornell Development Council
W H Northcott of New York City is named permanent director of the Cornell Development Council by President Updegraf f. He will begin June 1 and brings extensive YMCA leadership and finance experience. Northcott, brother of John Northcott of Coe College, declined a regional Y M C A finance post in St Louis to accept Cornell’s offer. He now serves on the national YMCA financial staff.

The Cornell baseball diamond once famed for Purple batmen now hosts makeshift games as gym classes play indoor baseball on the field. Last Saturday the Upper Classmen defeated the Lower Classmen, and a next Saturday game is planned between interested class members.

Changes In Courses For Next Year At College
Registration opens for next year with most students to file proposed courses by May 24 in the college collection office. Changes include split psychology sections by Professor McConnell and Dr Slaght, geology headed by Norton with Thomson assisting, and three geology sections. A three year leave is planned for Van Pelt. The catalog remains largely the same with minor alterations.
