Daughters of Atreus Greek drama cast named at Cornell

Thirty one students named in the cast of The Daughters of Atreus by Robert Turney to be staged Friday and Saturday June 3 and 4 at 8 15 p m in the little theatre Armstrong hall. The cast lists Elytaimnes tra Orestes Elektra Agamemnon and other principals with soldiers played by a large group. Tickets fifty cents adults twenty five for students.

Five Students Placed in Teaching Positions by Cornell Bureau

Five more teacher placements were made in the past week by the Cornell bureau according to Dr. S. J. McLaughlin. Elizabeth Baird will teach vocal and instrumental music at Olds. Margaret Ann Hyatt English at Olds. Lauretta Ness elementary at Alta. Frances Gillett English and Latin at Linden, Ir., and Paul Putnam social science and music at Onida, South Dakota.

Students Plan For Lake Geneva Conference

Cornell students prepare to attend the Lake Geneva Student Conference this summer. The men meet June 11 to 18 and the women June 21 to 28, with participants from nine states under noted leaders. Interested students should contact Charles Higbie or Alma Moots.

Will Discuss Plans At Special CCA Meeting

The CCA group will meet Wednesday afternoon possibly for a picnic supper to review what has been done and to map plans for next year. Cornell Iron Man Phil Tunnicliff Runs Daily to Abbey Creek

Phil Tunnicliff, Cornell's noted long distance runner, wanders two miles each dawn to Abbey Creek and back. He began after a favorite high school teacher inspired him and then used an alarm clock and stopwatch to pace his routine. He has missed only New Year’s Day since starting this disciplined regimen.

Freshmen to Host All College Formal Das Weinbergen Balhaus

The freshman class plans the last all school formal on May 21 in a palatial ballroom built on the alumni gym site. Dancing starts 8 p.m. to midnight with Charlie Moore and his aristocracy of bands. Admission is $1 per couple at the door. upperclassmen must ask.

Anti War Congress Planned In Washington

Craft Guild Breakfast Signals Year End Activities

The Craft Guild plans its annual May breakfast Sunday at the Pal if weather allows, otherwise at Miss Lathe's house. The picnic costs about fifteen cents per person and invites club members and student workers. Sign-up ends Friday and an election of officers will occur at the breakfast.

Orchesis Recital Showcases Diverse Dances At Little Theatre

The third annual Orchesis recital Friday in the Little Theatre offers a varied program including Waiters Dance Going Home for Vacation Track Meet and Congo based on a Vachel Lindsay poem. Dances feature a verse choir and pieces by Miriam Raphael Doris Minot and others with student ensembles and focus studies. Admission is free.
