Carnegie Fellowships Offer Eight $500 Humanities Awards
Eight $500 senior fellowships in the humanities are available through a Carnegie corporation grant. Nominations come from humanities department chairs and require a student's program record and study outline by May 18. The dean will appoint after consulting a three-chairman ad hoc committee. fellowships replace work assignments but do not substitute existing aid.

Cornell Women to Take Part in ACM Urban Semester
Three Cornell students Miss Mary Jo Anderson Miss Jill Kettlestrings and Miss Annette Shuck will join the ACM urban semester program in Chicago next fall. They will complete eight weeks of practice teaching in a low income area and eight weeks in a middle or affluent area. They will attend seminars in urban education and urban sociology at the University of Chicago and teach in elementary and secondary history in Chicago schools.
