Men's Mixer and Activities At Cornell This Weekend
Cornell hosts its annual Men's Mixer on Saturday May 19 with 100 to 150 senior boys from Midwestern high schools as guests. Registration begins at 9 30 in the chapel and includes a tennis meet in the morning a fresh debate with Newton high school at 11 o clock and meals at Bowman hall and Pfeiffer hall. The program also features a Midwest conference track meet with Cornell hosting seven teams.

Addition Awards Announced at Cornell Music Auditions
Prof. Walter H. Hodgson announced results of the annual Cornell college music auditions for high school students from the middle west. About fifty students competed on campus last Friday and Saturday for prize scholarships. Althea Goodrick of Wyoming won first in piano. Norman Fettkether of Dubuque, Rosa Lee Osburn of River Forest, and Roslyn Brogue of Mason City also earned prizes. There were twelve piano entrants. In vocal competition of twenty-five, Robert Groaters of Iowa Falls won first, followed by Lynn Miller of Morley, Jean McIntosh of Wellman, and Donald Hutchins of Algona. Harold Horn of Marion and Roslyn Brogue took first and second in violin. Merle Irish of Glen Ellyn and Lois Wilkinson of Edgerton won cello and pipe organ honors respectively.

Phi Beta Kappa Holds Annual Banquet Initiations
Phi Beta Kappa initiated Manley Goodrick Ruth Miller and will initiate William Reynolds at June commencement. Mrs Winifred Mayne Van Etten presided at a 6 40 p m banquet in The Grill after initiation at 6:00 in South hall. Prof H C Stancliff traced the order is the first Greek letter fraternity and recalled bringing the chapter to campus in December 1922.
