First Senior Piano Recital At Cornell Conservatory

Laura Wilcox, Cornell College Conservatory senior, gave a well planned recital in the chapel to a large audience. The program opened with Theme and Variations by Tschaikowsky, included Chopin pieces, Chippewa Themes by H A Miller, and Rubstein Piano Concerto in D minor, performed with the Conservatory Orchestra.

West Branch Seeks Increase in Cornell Endowment

Rev. Gilbert Challis of West Branch spoke in the chapel on Wednesday about home missions and his appointment to the board. He noted West Branch has already given 23000 to Cornell's endowment and expects it to rise to about 80000 soon.

Lecture Series Announces May Speaking Dates and Readings

A college lecture course has three numbers completed with two more to come. On Tuesday the 14th Professor Herbert L Willet of the University of Chicago will lecture on America and the World Crisis. On Monday the 20th Vachel Lindsay, Illinois poet, will read from his writings in the Auditorium at 8 pm. Admission is 50 cents.
