Torch Society Names Six New Junior Women
Six junior women were elected to Torch Society, named in chapel this morning by Gertrude Ann Holmgren, president of the organization. Inductees: Corrine Anderson, Dorothy Courson, Eleanor Gough, Alma Moots, Ruth Weber, and Kathleen Wilson. They will lead Torch activities for the coming year, succeeding current juniors. Initiation will be a tea in Miss Betts' apartment on Friday May 19 at 4 p.m.

Cornell to Honor Bishop Hunt With Doctor of Laws
The Most Rev Duane G Hunt DD Bishop of Salt Lake City will receive Cornell College’s Doctor of Laws at June 5 commencement. Hunt, a 1907 alumnus, was ordained in 1920 and became Chancellor of Salt Lake City Diocese in 1924. He has delivered about twenty five radio sermons annually on Catholic doctrine. He is an uncle of Cornell senior Helen Stunt.
