Pageant of Cornell College rehearsals for 75th anniversary
Six hundred at work on the Cornell Pageant crews with directors Jewell Bothwell Tull and Clyde Tull guiding the production. The pageant traces the school from Elder Bowman’s founding to the present, featuring six hundred parts and a new chorus “They Come, the Pioneers” as scenic designs take shape for June 1 celebration.

Men's Glee Club Home Concert Featured Here Saturday
The Men s glee club directed by Professor John L Congrad presented its annual home concert here Saturday night. Kremer a freshman impressed with a solo and may become a fine soloist with the club. Alice Louise Spencer accompanist showcased two solo groups. Afterward the club traveled to Davenport for religious songs at St Paul y Methodist church with Professor Oral V Jackson accompanying and speaking briefly. The Cornell College String Quartet Grace Kidder Doris Sutherland Leo Genung Ralph Young gave an evening concert at Mechanicsville Methodist church, performing four sets of three numbers. Delta Nu s hosted a dinner and bridge at the Jordan House last Saturday.

Monmouth men defeated Cornell 84 to 47 at Ash Park as Thorpe led in the mile and Corlett won the two mile for Cornell. Dell Raymond paced Cornell with a half mile win and a second place, while Thom of Monmouth dominated sprints and hurdles including the 100 yard dash. Jack McIntosh starred in exhibitions at high jump, pole vault, and high hurdles, with Monmouth taking several events and Cornell taking the mile relay.
