Cedar Rapids high school topped the meet with 25 points at Ash Park. Marshalltown finished second with 18, West Waterloo third with 15, and Oregon Ill and Newton tied for fourth with 14 each. Two records fell as adverse weather persisted, with Packer of Marshalltown lowering the high hurdles mark to 16.2 seconds and Newton halting the half mile in 1:39.

Institute Meeting Highlights County Teachers Spelling Contest
A division of teachers from Mt. Vernon Lisbon and Bertram townships met yesterday in the college auditorium as part of the county institute.
