The Student Council at its April 26 meeting named leaders for next year’s campus committees. Mary Helen Miller and Merron Seron will head freshman week, while Nancy Siljander and Robert Kemper oversee freshman orientation. Shirley Sabin designs the freshman handbook. Kemper and Betsy Doland co-chair Campus Chest. Williams, Compton, and Kowal join the Publications board. Tom Stewart to lead Religion in Life week.

Anderson and Ewoldt Chosen for Washington Semester
Douglas Anderson and Elda Ewoldt, juniors from Chicago and Eldridge, are accepted into the Washington Semester Study program at American University in Washington D C for next fall. Anderson will study sociology, Ewoldt history political science. They will attend a government seminar and write a thesis then return to Cornell for the second semester.

Over 100 voices from Cornell colleges recorded a ten inch LP to be released end May. Director Mrs June M McConlogue announced the $4.85 record, made at an April 22 session with RCA Victor engineers. The second choir under Miss Delinda Roggensack performed three pieces, while the tour choir conducted by Mrs McConlogue included Schuman Rubie Monteverdi and Bach selections from their tour repertoire.

The 75th anniversary Cornellian issue edited by John Lively will appear next Friday with official congratulations from President Eisenhower Iowa Governor Hoegh Cornell President Cole and student leader Craig Sidles. The 32 page four section issue recalls past editors and features Herb Owens and others while offering a photo section and top ten newsmen. Extra copies are 50 cents at the financial office.
