Chicago Symphony to Perform Twenty-Fifth Time at Cornell Music Festival
The Chicago Symphony Orchestra, in its 36th season, will make its twenty-fifth festival appearance at Cornell May Music Festival in Mount Vernon on May 13 and 14. Founded 1891 by Theodore Thomas, the orchestra now led by Frederick Stock has 94 players and a 28 week season yielding 126 concerts. Other festival events include the Cornell Oratorio Society presenting Olaf Trygvasson with two soloists.
