Cornell Men Taken For Fort Snelling Training

Iowa City surgeons note Cornell applicants fit for military training at Fort Snelling. About fourteen Cornell men have progressed through the process to Captain Morton C. Mumma. The War department seeks men aged twenty eight to forty for higher offices and will mail papers directly through Iowa City. The Fort Snelling camp opens May eighth with reporting by May fourteenth. orders have been issued for Jordan, Hinkley, Stansberry, and Embree, with many others awaiting action.

Henry S Ely urges perseverance in student life

Mina Walker a 1914 graduate and teacher at Leon High School Iowa suffered serious hip joint injuries in an auto wreck while riding with friends. Details remain unclear. Cadet Parade Reviews Mount Vernon College Training

Four Cadet Corps companies at Cornell College observed Evening Parade and Review led by Lieutenant Dreibelbis. President Flint served as reviewing officer with Major Haynes and Mount Vernon Grand Army Post staff. Sergeant Jordan acted as Adjutant. The parade formed on Main Street and marched to the chapel steps before dismissal amid compliments from officers and onlookers.
