Purple runners place well in Drake Relays

Cornell placed in three events at Drake Relays with second in the medley, third in the two mile relay, and fourth in the half mile relay. Five events entered, but eliminated in high jump and high hurdles prelims. Wabash won medley, Cornell second in its section, time 3 409-10 tied with Carleton for fastest. Amazons Plan Double Header at Cornell May 12

A coed spring double header combines a track meet at 9:00 AM followed by a Cornell baseball game. About 10 girls report for cinder events with strong interest. The meet offers 100 W A A points to winners and 50 points to those with 10 hours practice.

Y. W. Cabinet Council From Five Schools Meets Here

The Ames Y W program hosts about 50 girls from the cabinets of Ames Coe I S T C Iowa Grinnell for a Cabinet Training Council weekend. The schedule runs Friday eight oclock to Sunday with reports round tables and conferences. Miss Leonard Dean of Women Coe and Miss Halsey YW secretary will speak between discussions. This annual event convenes the five schools and is Cornell’s first hosting.

Frances Hipple, who will receive her B M degree in June, will present a senior piano recital Thursday afternoon May 8 at 4 00 in the chapel auditorium. Scientists Hold Successful Meet at Palisades Trip

The Iowa Academy of Science wrapped a two day session with a Saturday afternoon excursion to the Palisades. About 160 scientists attended the final registration reports.
