Fifty loyal Mt Vernon Cornell boosters met March 22 in Altoona for an oyster supper and fellowship. Dr Carlton became president of the new Mt Vernon Cornell club with officers including Mrs Alice Rigby first vice president and Dr George W Hogle second vice president. A 15 member committee led by Dr E T Gruwell was named to arrange a spring monster banquet for college and town.

Cornell Dominates State Prohibition Contest Victory at Oskaloosa

Cornell wins first ever state prohibition oration title at Oskaloosa with Laura M. Chassell taking first for Cornell and earning a $75 prize.
