Cornell Intramural Decathlon Opens Spring Card

With spring and the basketball and wrestling seasons done, Cornell’s intramural program shifts outdoors through June featuring events from horseshoes to baseball. The decathlon begins Tuesday with 24 entrants, the 100 yard dash opening day and the 440 to be run Thursday. The top scorer earns the championship. eight records were set last spring.

Politics Students to Attend C. R. Trial

Prof Littell's political science classes will travel to Cedar Rapids Monday to observe a District Court trial over the Dvorak estate. Defending attorneys are local lawyers Wilson and Maxwell.

Three Plays to Be Presented at Chapel Tomorrow Evening

A fantasy a comedy and a drama will be staged in the Chapel auditorium tomorrow at 8 o clock. Casts from the student body and the play production class under Prof W Earl Beem perform The Wonder Hat Ile and Thursday Evening with admission of twenty five cents to cover royalties.

Grinnell Professor to Speak on Iowa Vegetation

Dr. Henry S. Conard head of Grinnell College Botany will lecture on The Vegetation of Iowa Since the Glacial Period at the Science Club meeting next Tuesday evening. The public is invited to attend in the Geology Lecture room Law building at 6 40.

Freshmen Stage Mat Tournament Highlights Yearling Feats

Sixteen freshmen competed in the intramural mat tournament, with McCarty at 115 lbs and Rodgers at 145 lbs winning titles. Morford beat McCrary in the 185 lb final by a small margin as both top first year wrestlers. Coach Barker plans to enter yearlings in the Ames American Legion tourney on April 6.

Alumnus Dr. Billingsley Named in Who's Who

A sketch of Dr. Paul R. Billingsley, 710, appears in the latest Who's Who. He set a record in Northwestern medical school for research and numerous journal publications. He now practices medicine in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Cornell College Orchestra Announces Spring Tour

The Cornell College Orchestra led by Prof. Horace Alden Miller launches its annual spring concert tour on April 4 with thirty six members. The itinerary covers Iowa towns including Stanwood Monticello Coggan Waverly Montour Toledo Conrad Eldora Hampton Stratford Chapin and Reinbeck with performances at First Church and Grace Church and Mrs. Miller joining the group.

William L. Finley presents Wild Animal Outposts illustrated lecture at the Cornell Lecture in the chapel auditorium at 8 o clock this evening.
