Hildebrand tops campus ballots for AWS president with 468 votes while Jinx Watson wins the president’s race at 201. Recount fixes totals for four candidates and updates many campus offices including Social Center Secretary-treasurer Colleen Faust with 603 votes. New officers assume duties after Spring vacation as Hildebrand plans study at Cornell and American University.

Student Council OKs 1963-64 Budget of 27030

The Council approved a 1963-64 budget based on 795 students at 34 per pupil totaling 27030. Per student spending rose with an increased enrollment, and 1.25 per student is set aside in contingency. Names and amounts for KRNL AWS and other groups listed. Also planned a Campus Chest Auction rescheduled to April 18 and a dinner for outgoing members at Bill Zuber's Dugout.

Heywood Hesla Sponsor Special Soph Jr Dinner

William Heywood of the History Department and David Hesla of the English Department sponsor a special dinner for selected juniors and sophomores on Wednesday April 17 to encourage graduate study in social science and humanities and teaching at the college level. Heywood funds via the Woodrow Wilson Foundation and Hesla via the Chicago Cornell three year Cooperation Program in the humanities.

Administrative Council approves plan for eight weeks beginning April 12

The AWS key privilege trial runs April 12 to June 8 for senior women living in Road House. signed policy statements required from seniors and parents. files kept in the Office of Student Affairs. If extended next year, deans will review data and solicit parent evaluations for final appraisal.

Cundy Awarded Fulbright Scholarship to Paris

Rhonda Cundy received word she earned a Fulbright Scholarship funded by the United States Government. With a full tuition grant she will study at the Ecole Nationale de Musique in Paris for one academic year and sail September 19, 1963.
