Phi Beta Kappa selects 16 for Cornell Coe spring banquet
Eighteen Cornell College students and 13 from Coe College earned Phi Beta Kappa membership this year and will be honored at the spring banquet March 26 in the Cornell Commons. Separate initiation precedes the ceremony with last fall initiates joining the new honorees. Guest speaker Dr. Dana L. Farnsworth of Harvard will discuss Minimal Restraints That Make Men Free. Cornell’s PBK chapter was admitted in 1922 and officers are Dr. Dorothy J. Newbury president Mrs. Martyn R. Brawner vice president and Dr. Donald Cruikshank Jr. secretary treasurer.
