Lawrence Student to Speak Here at Friday Chapel
Lawrence College exchange student Joe Maertz Weiler will speak at the regular chapel Friday. His topic is How we do it at Lawrence. Maertz Weiler was co captain of the football team, all conference quarterback and president of the L Club. Mert McKendry represented Cornell at Lawrence on February 10.

Five Midwest conference debate teams met in Cedar Rapids to form a unified forensic association. Ripon Knox Monmouth Coe and Cornell drafted plans with Grinnell Carleton Beloit and Lawrence invited. A student congress was planned for next fall with officers elected for one year.

Gilbert and Sullivan's Iolanthe opens Wednesday and Thursday at 8 15 p m with lavish costumes and a bright lighting design. The orchestra under Prof Williams includes Edith Carver Geraldine Bryant John Mallonee and Dor othy Smith among others. A Grex matinee is set for Saturday at 2 15 p m and a schoolchild performance was held today.

Howard Johnson Leads Government Class to Des Moines Visit
Howard Johnson, a student teacher, plans a field trip for his eleventh grade government class to Des Moines on Wednesday March 15. The 17 students will tour the capitol building and state legislature, meet Representative Gardner, view a state court, visit the historical association, and inspect the Amana colony southwest of Cedar Rapids.

Amateur Our Town to Open at Cornell Little Theatre
The first non professional performance of Thornton Wilder s Our Town will be staged in Cornell Little Theatre on Friday and Saturday April 28 28 as a Speech Department production. High school seniors will attend Grex with about 1500 invitations sent and 600 to advisers and superintendents.
