Twelve women were nominated for A W S board positions at Pfeiffer hall as Shirley Householder led the nominating committee of seniors and class reps. Offices to be decided by vote Monday include president vice president secretary treasurer and social chairman with the vice president to be the runner up for president. Installation is at the Girls Grex next weekend. Nominees listed include Nina Pritchard Jane Hayes and Margaret Herrick for president Margaret Harris Ruth Bowman for secretary.

Ex Governor Shaw Ill With Pneumonia

Republicans Elect Slaght as Delegate

Purple Masquer Electricians Create New Lighting for Death Takes a Holiday
George Canelti and others built eight large lighting fixtures with four colors for the Purple Masquer production of Death Takes a Holiday directed by Prof. W. Earl Beem. They assembled 500 watt box lights at 2.50 each, plus four 400 watt spots. Backstage crew includes George Canelli Roy Mills Claude Rose and Margaret Northfield with Ralph Whannel as stage manager assisted by Ralph and Paul Wilkinson.

Campus Surveying Class Build Two Foot Contour Map
A surveying class on campus is creating a two foot contour map showing elevations around Pfeiffer hall and the President's house. Students learn transit level rod use and measure horizontal distances with a steel tape while mapping seven stakes and calculating irregular polygon areas. The project will continue until the end of term with hundreds of measurements and individual student maps.
