Hilltop Campaign Parade Roars Through Cornell Campus
Rowdy students led by Bear Stiles interrupted a chemistry lecture and stormed classrooms in a chaotic campus campaign rally. The procession swept through downtown and the Mt. Faculty Owls Seek Campus Status and Cabin Use
The Beta Omicron social group known as the Owls asks faculty approval to operate on campus and to keep using a Cedar River cabin owned by alumni. A rule restricting real estate ownership by groups may be amended, with the next faculty meeting on March 15 to decide. The Owls were previously a secret group disbanded last spring and allowed to reform on September 13, 1949.

Student Government Elections Set to Begin Monday
Elections for student government offices start Monday with floor nominations for president AWS and Men's Senate in Chapel. Nominations close March 14 at 10 p.m. Preliminary voting on March 15 determines final candidates, with speeches March 17 and final elections March 20. March 21 announces new officers. The Student Council also requires a social committee within the first month and appoints heads for Religious Emphasis Week and the Central Fund drive.
