The Roman Society presents three one acts on Saturday evening at Cornell: Land of Heart's Desire Six That Pass While Lentils Boil and Suppressed Desires. Girls Glee Club Concert Delights Chicago Audience

The Girls Glee Club offered a varied program with strong blending and expressive text. Soloists Maude Beaman Fern McNeil and pianist Eness received enthusiastic notices while Professor Conrad and Elsie Koberg shared praise for voice and interpretive skill. The spring tour will visit eastern Iowa and Illinois with minor program changes.

Overtones to be staged at Adelphian Hall tonight

The one act play Overtone s by Susan Glaspell will be performed by four English club players at Adelphian Hall at 7 30 tonight. Eloise Lemon will play a flute solo and Lela Belle will contribute a program solo. Admission is ten cents.

Cornell Debating Team to Clash with Lawrence at Albion

The Cornell negative team meets the Lawrence side this Friday at eight in the Albion auditorium. Cornell's all honor squad, fresh from Grinnell, faces a strong Lawrence lineup with Joseph Cleveland, Raymond McConnell, and Ralph Kharas leading. A single judge system will be used for the Albion debate.

Cornell Teams Sweep Grinnell Debates Twice

Cornell wins both sides in the Grinnell dual. The negative team Whittaker Hunt and DuBridge defeat Grinnell by three to nil, while the affirmative Cleveland McConnell and Kharas take a two to one decision. Judges include Bishop Wright Shattuck and Stancliff.

Alumnus Reverend James Hughes Dies in Montana

Reverend James Hughes, Cornell 1894, died at his Ronay Montana home after a three day pneumonia illness. He is the father of Geraldine Hughes, a 1920 graduate. Hughes had preached in Saskatchewan and Montana for fourteen years.

Frosh to Take Charge of Y M C A Meeting

Freshman men will lead the Y M C A meeting Thursday at 6 40 in Thalian hall. A lively program is planned from the newcomers who ran the freshmen joints last semester. Allen Baltz and Rennie, now in Cedar Rapids, were to lead but will conduct Coe in return for Coe's men leading in town.

Sprint Team Takes Second at Illinois Relays

The Knox College relay team finished second in the college mile relay at the Illinois Relays, earning silver medals. Knox won in 3 40 with Cornell 3/5 second behind. a baton mishap near the shift cost a faster indoor record. Coach Finger praised the team and noted bright Drake relays prospects.

Freshmen Unable to Hold Cedar Rapids Rivals

The Cedar Rapids High School team defeated the freshman quintet 27 to 18 last night in a strong showing. Cedar Rapids led 16 to 4 at the end of the first period as Morrison and Bowlyn scored, while Novak shuffled lineups to contain the visitors.
