Student Opinion Poll Favors Referendum on Govts Principle

A Cornell poll of about 100 students shows 93 percent favor central representative student government. Voter sentiment on current Council structure is mixed with 54 percent against and 44 percent for, while 77 percent would vote for the Thursday referendum. Cornell Receives NSF Grants For Chemistry And Biology

Cornell announces two National Science Foundation grants totaling 7000 dollars. A $4900 grant funds chemistry research led by Addison Ault and a $2100 grant supports biology supervised by Francis A Pray. Grants run until July 31 1965 and will provide stipends for eight Cornell students.
