Harrell to headline Cornell May Festival with Carr in Requiem
Metropolitan baritone Mack Harrell will perform at Cornell after his May 6 Music Festival recital and join Nancy Carr as a soloist in Brahms German Requiem. Carr, making her second May Festival appearance, will sing the soprano part as the Chicago Symphony and Cornell Oratorio Society perform. A half hour MBS broadcast will air nationwide with Cedar Rapids KCRG as the local outlet.

About twenty Cornell chapter members of the TRPA are expected to attend the spring removal meeting of the Southeastern district in Cedar Rapids on Monday March 7. The event will be at Mt Mercy Junior College with Earl S Kulp as main speaker. The luncheon will be in the Crystal Ballroom of the Montrose hotel. Jack Hotsénpiller, vice-president of the southeastern region, will be nominated for president.

The Grinnell Student Council considers joining Coe and Cornell for a three-school dance. May 13 at Coe and Cornell was approved, with Cornell girls receiving 1 a.m. hours.
