Four Cornellians enter the National Tau Kappa Alpha debate and discussion tournament at the University of Kentucky in Lexington next week. They depart Wednesday March 8 with Gary Makower, Lorraine Hill competing in discussion and Hill in ext. Hoerner and Oates in debate. Delegates Cite 300 Expected For Future Teachers Meet
About 300 delegates from 15 teacher training institutions in southeastern Iowa are expected Monday at Cornell College for the Iowa Future Teachers Association regional meeting. College Cuts Heat to Meet Coal Shortage at Cornell College
Due to a serious coal shortage the college will reduce heating in several buildings starting March 4. Heat will be off noon Saturday to Monday morning in Main Hall South Hall Library Law Building Old Sem Alumni Gym Armstrong Hall Chapel and the practice house. A three week coal supply is reported and a faculty committee will survey and arrange for doubling up to keep families warm.
