Grinnell Iowa March 1 Cornell and Grinnell split honors as the Scarlet and Black defeated the visitors 28 to 19. The Grinnell guards, led by Mike Augustine, disrupted Cornell’s short passing game. Cornell’s guards also shone by scoring most of the team’s field goals.

Professor Alonzo E. Taylor of the University of Pennsylvania will deliver the principal address at Johns Hopkins University’s forty second Commemoration Day tomorrow. Born in Alden Iowa he studied at Cornell 1886 88 and is now a professor of physiological chemistry at Penn.

The Cornell orchestra gave a spring concert to aid the college Red Cross. Despite wartime strains and a smaller group, the performance pleased the audience with Mozart and Brahms works, a Mood Picture by Mr. Miller, xylophone solo by Mr. Richmond, a cornet duet, and Miss Siple’s reading. Mrs. Shaw as concert master impressed with tone and style.
