Miss Lathe Injured in Auto Crash West of Cedar Rapids
Miss Lathe, art instructor, was injured Friday when her car skidded on a slippery road west of Cedar Rapids on the Lincoln Highway. She was en route to Vinton to give a chalk talk before Vinton High School pupils and returned home to Mount Vernon. The classes will proceed under Miss Taylor and two assistants in her absence.

Mr and Mrs Henry Pfeiffer were elected life members of the Cornell club of New York City at a January 13 dinner in honor of President H J Burgstahler. Howard L Kern 07 was chosen president for 1933 with H L Rhoades 14 as vice president and Thomas P Potter 05 as secretary and treasurer. The Boston Cornell Club also elected officers on January 17 with Russell Cole 22 as president W P Helms 20 as vice president and Ruth J Browning 21 as secretary.

Alumnus James L Nauman of Cornell has donated a Pyrex glass distillation apparatus to the chemistry department. The device achieves constant reduced pressure to distill organic liquids at altitude, addressing decomposition before their normal boiling point. Nauman, a Johns Hopkins fellow and Cornell graduate, plans to return to teach in summer school.
