Dr Kolbe of Garrett to Speak at C S F

Cornell Student Fellowship announces Dr Henry E Kolbe of the Garrett Biblical Institute will speak Sunday night in chapel and Monday in the Evanston Illinois area. The speaker is a professor of Christian Ethics and will address ethics topics at the events.

Cornell Announces March 12 Armar Ballroom Dance

The Social- Recreational committee says Cornell will host a semi formal at the Armar ballroom on March 12 from 8 30 p m to 12 00 a m The event titled A Night to Remember features Jimmy Featherstone and his orchestra with a floor show and free bus transportation replacing the cancelled Coe Cornell dance due to scheduling conflicts.

Song of Affirmation staged by Denver Symphony

Denver Symphony Orchestra under Saul Caston gave the second performance of Dello Joio's choral work Song of Affirmation. Chorus directed by Florence Lamont Hinman. First Denver revival since its Cornell May Music Festival premiere last May. Centennial commission noted on the published score. Cornell was honored in the program.

Eight Cornell Students to Appear on TV Program

Debaters Visit Northfield For Conference Title Try

Cornell debaters travel to Northfield Minnesota for the Midwest conference round robin tournament at St Olaf and Carleton colleges. The team aims to reclaim the Midwest trophy after finishing second last year behind undefeated St Olaf.

Stromgren to Speak on Frontiers of Astronomy in Chapel Talk

Internationally known astronomer Bengt Stromgren will lecture on Frontiers of Astronomy in the Cornell Artist-and-Lecture series at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday March 2. The talk, illustrated with slides, covers star formation galaxy evolution and cosmical history, with Stromgren directing Yerkes and McDonald Observatories. He arrives March 1 and departs March 3.

KRNL Receives Fifty Records From RCA Victor

KRNL has received 50 RCA Victor long play records valued at about 250 dollars from RCA Victor Company as a gift. The collection includes 6 complete operas about a dozen operatic arias more than 24 symphonic recordings about 12 piano recordings and two complete Shakespearian plays Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet placed on a special shelf in the Armstrong Fine Arts library for broadcasts.

Dr Roy Nelson Attends Lawrence College Installation

Dr Roy Nelson financial secretary of Cornell traveled from Ithaca to Appleton Wisconsin to attend the installation of Dr Douglas Maitland Knight as Lawrence College eleventh president. President Russell D Cola of Florida urged Nelson to represent Cornell. Knight succeeds Dr Pusey who left for Harvard. Delegates from over 30 Midwest colleges attended.
