Cornellian backs a plan to swap Pal Day to Tuesday or Thursday and move Spring Vacation to include April 3 for MWF classes, while trading March 25 for May 25 in TTS sequence. The idea would grant a study day before finals and allow Easter at home if the schedule changes pass the curriculum committee.
A prepared statement from Warren B. Martin describes a recent informal gathering of 12 representatives from the Cornell college board of trustees faculty the North Iowa Conference of the Methodist church and Bishop Ensley office to discuss church college relations. The meeting sought to clarify and solidify the traditional relationship and considered a mutual confidence and interdependency resolution.
Students will vote in class meetings February 28 on altering spring vacation. A petition to change dates cites Easter Sunday travel and church attendance concerns. Three proposals from Dean Howard W. Troyer are on the ballot, including keeping current dates, shifting dismissal and return times, or a Skip Day option with no later Skip Day.

He discusses Bernstein and his evolving style plus plans for world travel and new works including an opera and a ballet.
Charles Foster assistant professor of political science resigns after nearly two years of teaching. He met with President Arland Christ Janer in Washington and attended a reception at Dean Rusk's home. Foster will depart July 1 for Germany to teach part time at Cologne and work on his doctorate. Joseph Board of Elmira University will replace him. Board was an Oxford Rhodes Scholar in 1954.
Paul Beckhelm of the conservatory will appear at the National Biennial Convention of the Music Teachers National Association at the Sheraton Hotel in Philadelphia from February 25 to March 1. He serves as chairman of the Private Teacher's Workshops committee and as a member of the national executive committee.
The Student-Faculty Building Committee will meet Monday to discuss social group facilities in dorms and a planned Pfeiffer Hall addition, new men and women’s dorms, and a food service building valued at about 2.5 million dollars to be completed by fall 1963. Funding will come from room and board fees, not tuition. The committee, comprising presidents, deans, and student representatives, will forward ideas to the architect.
Mary Helmer soprano and Char lene Walker pianist present a joint junior recital under Cornell college conservatory of music on Sunday February 26 at 3 p.m. in King Memorial Chapel Helmer is a voice major and soloist with the Cornell choir and oratorio society and sings with the Mount Vernon Methodist church choir and Pi Mu Sigma Walker piano major who transferred from Oberlin last year and has been the college chief accompanist for the past year and is a member of Pi Mu Sigma
The SC Constitutional Revisions Committee presents a plan to scrap the 1948 constitution as outdated and vague. Proposals include renaming the body, restructuring membership with three officers from the student body, and merging All College Social Committee into the Social Center Activities Council to streamline leadership and efficiency.
The Cornell staging of George Bernard Shaw Candida has designated crews. Craig Ensign leads stage crew. props led by Kathy Morrissey with several assistants. Ann Robbins directs lighting with James Thompson, Nicholas Gaspar and Laddie Kracalik. Nancy Wilson heads costumes and make up with additional members. Publicity is steered by Mike Werkle with four assistants. Ramona Perlenfein serves as house manager for the March 10 11 show in the Little Theater.
