Debaters Place Second at Pella Tournament

Varsity debaters led by Don Jackson Bob Irvine Wally Tripp and Phil Hanna finished second last Saturday at Central College Pella winning four of six debates. Iowa Wesleyan teams took first with six wins. Ed Schmiel junior debater traveled with the teams and judged three debates. Eight colleges attended the event.

War Production panel to discuss victory and resources

Rich and Ennis lead a 7 p.m. Tuesday panel in South Hall on war production. They will discuss optimism for victory, Allied resources, resource marshaling, and individual attitudes toward resource concentration. Hosted by the International Club with faculty leadership.

Cornell Honors 15 A Students Top Semester Honor Roll

Fifteen Cornell students earned straight A grades for the first semester of 1941 42, the registrar announced. This marks the first time since 1936 that so many placed in the top ranks of the honor roll. Criteria require at least 12 credit hours and exclude physical education and non credit courses. Journalists plan a satirical lampoon of professors and students at the Gridiron Banquet the Cornell College edition in 1942.
