Freedom Is Display Topic at Cornell Library Display
Cornell college library joins the Crusade for Freedom to honor Radio Free Europe with a February display. Twelve books from the White House Library committee of the American Booksellers Association are featured on the main floor, plus pamphlets about the crusade. RF E broadcasts reach Czechoslovakia, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, and Albania, serving about 70 million people. President Eisenhower urges support for this overseas freedom effort.

Cornell College Hires Safranek for Carillon Cannon Concert
Cornell College announces Col Emil Safranek will serve as chief carillonneur for a new set of 16 carillonic cannons donated by Australian philanthropist Wilhelm Kleitchmeister. The first concert is planned for Sunday March 7 with pieces including Danny Boy and Camp Town Races. The cannons will chime quarter hours 6 PM to 6 AM weekdays and noon to 7 AM weekends, aimed at a safe pasture near Cedar Rapids.

King of Hearts Coronation Set for Tonight at Mt Vernon High
Coronation ceremonies for the 1954 King of Hearts proceed tonight at the Sweetheart Swirl dance sponsored by AWS. Nominees were Bill Frei Watson Hartbeck Craig Sidles and Phil Mayberry. Final voting occurred this afternoon at Mainhall as the event climaxes with a 9 p.m. start at Mt Vernon High School gym.

Women Lead Semester Honor Roll At Hilltop
