Cornellian Gives Five Thousand To Endowment Fund

Rev. Dillon Bronson, class of 1964, donates five thousand dollars to the Cornell endowment as an annuity. Dr. Lewis, campaign executive officer, announces the gift from a California clergyman known for prior support, including two chapel flags. Funds will boost the endowment not build new buildings.

Final Class Games Decide Runners Up

With championships in A and B divisions cinched by juniors and seniors, runners up will be settled Saturday. Seniors can secure second in A by beating frosh. sophomores can tie for second if seniors lose. In B, freshmen duel undefeated fourth year men for second. yearlings can rise if they beat sophomores. Tie-breaks on Feb 27. finals March 6 with junior A vs Senior B and consolation for seconds.

Rev. Glenn Rowley a former Cornellian and current Methodist minister at Vinton Town will headline the Epworth League meeting Sunday evening. He led the Win My Chum campaign and is described as a capable speaker and seasoned youth worker.

Band Mausiciens Name New Student Director

Burdette Johnson, a freshman, was selected student director of the college band at a meeting during practice last night. He replaces Milo Winans who left school at the beginning of the semester. Under Prof Bridgham the Cornell band has been developing through semi weekly rehearsals and plays to every home basketball game.

Girls Glee Club Plans Benefit Movie at Strand

Under the Women’s Glee Club, a benefit film titled New Brooms will be shown at the Strand theatre Mount Vernon on Monday and Tuesday. The production stars Bessie Love and Leo Hamilton. Tickets cost 35 cents and are sold by glee club members to ensure the benefit goes to the club rather than the box office.
