SAGB approves unified next year room draw procedures

SAGB unanimously approves new room draw rules to replace multiple systems. The plan creates five class rank boxes, reserved slips, public ledgers, and a revised process aimed at preventing number selling and reducing roommate switching. Seniors get first pick in their dorms, then others draw in ledger order with set exceptions and penalties for infractions.

Triplett to Present Annual Faculty Recital at King Chapel

Dr. Robert Triplett associate professor of music will present his annual faculty recital on Wednesday February 25 at 8 p.m. in King Chapel. The program includes Bach Walther Langlais Vierne Dupre and Frank Martin with Martins Passacaille highlighted as highly personal. Langlais is the only living composer represented.

New American Studies Major Approved for 1976 77

The Curriculum Committee and faculty approve two new interdisciplinary courses American Studies 40 and 402 and a new American Studies major. They will be offered in the 1976 77 catalogue.

Honors Lecture on Evil and Technology by Dr Sutherland

The fifth Honor Lecture in the theme Science and The Future will be delivered by Dr. Robert Sutherland on February 19 at 11 00 a m in Maxwell Auditorium He will compare Orwell s 1984 and Greene s The Ministry of Fear to explore how evil politics and technology interact and note Greene s caution about certain technologies He also explains his reasons for choosing the topic and credits the proposing faculty members.
