Freshmen used four garbage cans and a shovel to create a cooling system for drinks at the Basketball Bounce last Friday night. They improvised a pop cooler by transferring Hilltop slush into the cans, conserving the class treasury and solving the ice problem.

In the annual Public Affairs Tournament the Gamma social group defeated Pfeiffer women 15 to 9 in the opening round last Tuesday in the chapel. Gammas featured Jim Dickel Bretz and Dren del against Pfeiffer’s Meriwether Smith and Morgan. Judge Eric Kollman presided over the event run by the Public Affairs Club at Cornell with Bob Kemper moderating Milt Bowell timer and Mary Cooper score keeper. The next match is February 19 between AXEs and K Thetas.
