Cornell College announces a May festival on the 12th to 14th with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in its 24th appearance under Frederick Stock. Harold W. Baltz directs the oratorio Olaf Trygvason by Grieg in cooperation with the Cornell oratorio society. Two more concerts, one instrumental and one vocal, complete the series. A freshman Kid party is scheduled in Alethean hall Friday at 8.

Boy Confesses to Bowman Hall Theft
LeRoy Feldman a 12 year old son of a movie proprietor confessed to petty robberies including a $20 theft from Bowman Hall during dinner hour. After questioning by Sheriff Manchester and Deputy Worley Cedar Rapids, scoutmaster Frank Benesh elicited the admission of the crimes and further small thefts around town. He returned $5 in dollar bills found under a rock behind a shed.

Smouldering Pipe Incidents Burns Sheepskin in Class
A student dropped a smouldering pipe into a sheepskin coat during an international law class. The coat smoked and burned, a classmate stamped out the fire, and the pipe was ruined. The professor and students found the disruption amusing as the coat sustained a hole.
