Cornell Students Earn Semester Honor Roll Distinction

Pledging Schedule Announced for Men’s Senate Groups

Men’s pledging bids will arrive in mailboxes next Tuesday morning before chapel. The pledging groups will meet just before chapel and social group activities begin Tuesday evening. This year all pledging activities are managed by the Men’s Senate and the 1.8.G.C.

Pfeiffer Dining Hall hosts the Mortar Board Academic Honors Banquet honoring women with 2.5 or higher GPAs. The 69 honorees include Grate Allen and many others, with Miss Geneva Meers delivering a speech. Faculty, alumnae guests, and Mortar Board members attend in formal ceremony.

Cornell Students Eligible for Kappa Alpha Mu Photo Contest

Cornell students may enter the Kappa Alpha Mu Photo Contest judged March 19. Prints due March 1, 8 by 10 mounted on 16 by 20 boards. No more than 20 pictures taken after March 1, 1959 may be entered. NPA affiliated students may obtain forms from Cliff Edom, chairman, 18 Walter Williams Hall, University of Missouri, Columbia, Mo.

Prizes Open To Women Writers

Promising women writers are offered a chance for publication in a national magazine plus 1000 in prizes. Mademoiselle College Fiction Contest is open to undergraduate women under 26 enrolled in accredited colleges. Manuscripts 2500 to 5000 words must be postmarked by March 1, 1960 and sent to Mademoiselle New York.

Auction Highlights Annual Drive For Campus Charities

Cornell's Campus Chest week aims to raise 1500 for local and international charities through dorm solicitations auction and film events. Co chairs Dolly Teising and Bob Broadway oversee donations with multiple campus groups handling contributions. Teas and preferences set for women pledging Thursday

Invitations went to 20 eligible women for second semester social group teas. Prospective pledges will visit Alpha Sigma Pi at Brackett House, Delphi at Pfeiffer, Kappa Delta Chi in Bowman's lounge, and Kappa Theta in Road House, with preference forms due to Dean Jean B. Tompkins by Thursday noon.
