Cornell Meets Grinnell Team Next Saturday

Cornell prepared for a home game against Grinnell with possible lineup changes after a three game trip. Coach Fin g ex plans shifts to improve guarding and offense as injuries loom and practice continues in the baseball cage. Miss Ethel Kyle will travel to Iowa City to visit Miss Lois Snyder.

Parthenon Illustrations Arrive at College Library

A large illustrated Parthenon volume plus ninety two plates has been received at the college library. Published in London by the British Museum trustees, it cites Professor W S Ebersole repeatedly. Ebersole’s Athens observations on mutilated sculptures are noted and reproduced in related works.

Iowa University Vaudeville to Celebrate Exams

Iowa University students end exams with a ten act vaudeville in the Armory building. Headliners include a tight rope walker and three dancing comedians with repartee. Admission is ten cents. Miss Jessie Fisher entertains her sister from Belle Plaine.

Cornell Delegates Attend as Eight Contestants Vie

Eight contestants from the eastern division gathered at Lenox College Hopkinton Iowa for the Iowa State Oratorical Association preliminary. Parsons led with The Soldier of the Cross others included Kluss Cornell The Peril and Promise of Immigration and Gill Penn College The crowd doubted the results, believing Kluss deserved a top four slot. The final showdown moves to Des Moines with eight advancing.
