Reservists May Qualify In Army Meteorology Training

Information forwarded to Dean MacGregor shows E R C reserve call ups may enter the Army Air Forces Meteorological Training program. A pre meteorology course starts March 15 for 18 to 30 year old Americans with college math and one year of college science. an advanced course begins March 29 and June 21 for 8 months. basic training opens May 17 for 18 to 21 year olds with two years of high school math and one year science. Commission as 2nd Lt upon course completion and active duty status.

Cornell Teams Hit Courts And Mats This Week

Our Week Spots lists events at Cornell with Friday basketball against Lawrence at 7 30 p m and Saturday wrestling at 6 30 p m against Iowa State followed by a basketball game versus Grinnell after the wrestling. Road House Evacuation Set for February 13

The second group of naval aviation cadets from the Kansas City selection board arrived by train to enter the U S Navy Flight Preparatory School at the Cornell campus. Cadets will be housed in Merner hall and formed into companies as lectures continue on mathematics physics aerology engines and flight principles. Ensigns Couppee and Cadigan from Iowa and Chicago will aid in physical education.

Larger Hangar Planned For Cornell Port

Plans call for a new hangar 150 by 80 feet at Cornell airport northeast of here to house nine planes. The War Training Service program will train Navy cadets under ground school on campus with five instructors and current cadets completing primary flight.
