New Librarian Named Here
Bernard E. Richardson of Minneapolis has been named librarian at Cornell and will take the post February 20. He succeeds Forrest Brown who left for St Olaf College Northfield Minn Richardson, a 1950 U of Minnesota library graduate, has served as assistant chief of Minneapolis Public Library since 1959 and has worked as college librarian at San Diego State College and at the Naval Postgraduate School Monterey Calif He is married with four children.

Beckhelm Works To Be Published By Scribner Library
Paul Beckhelm director of the Cornell Conservatory has signed a contract with Scribner Music Library to publish nine of his piano works in a new edition. The Scribner Library division of Charles Scribner and Sons publishes music from all periods and styles and is edited by Howard Hanson of the Eastman School of Music in Rochester New York.

Cornell Receives 1250 Grant for Journal Back Files
Cornell University today announced a grant of 1250 dollars from the Association of College and Research Libraries. The award was among the four largest given and will fund back files for key scholarly journals. Grinnell College and Central College at Pella were other Iowa recipients among 60 libraries receiving a total of 46010 dollars.

Midwest Colleges Form Forensic Group At Meet
A forensic association of the Associated Colleges of the Midwest was formed at a meeting hosted by Professor Walter Stromer of Cornell. Member schools will discuss current congressional questions and later present action plans to a congressional committee.
