The second annual Cornell Kiddie Book arrives this week with Alma Broulik linoleum art on a bright blue cover. It features a Christmas story by Jewell Bothwell Tull, another by Thelma Lucile Lull, and tales by Annabel Lee Sailor about a wayward baby snake and a blue glass paper weight bird. Verse by Gertrude Herrick, John Harlan, Ruth Messenger, and Dorothy Ogden completes the collection with several anonymous “initiated” poems, one credited to the mysterious R. F.

Debating tryouts urged for college seminar squad
About fifteen men have signified their intention to try out for the seminar debating squad. Successful candidates earn three hours of college credit and form the nucleus of yearlong teams. Japanese Silk Worm Care Highlighted By Cornell Talk
Lecturer A L Flude describes Japanese silk worm care noting women do the farming and keep worms warm in jackets. Worms feed on mulberry leaves, four times their weight daily, then spin cocoons. thirty six cocoons yield one silk strand. Larvae are eaten as larva stew in Japan.

Mildred Mastin faculty selected to represent Cornell students at the National Student Federation of America third annual congress in Lincoln Nebraska December 15 16 and 17.
