Cornell’s presidential nominating committee met on campus with no definite decision. The board must confirm any candidate before acceptance. Speech Arts Players Set for Christmas Tour

The Speech Arts group leaves tomorrow for a Christmas tour starting in West Waterloo High auditorium. They perform three one act plays with readings between, including Mrs Pat and the Law and The Bishop's Candlesticks. The troupe visits Earlville Manchester Independence and Winthrop with a religious program at Independence Sunday.

Christmas Program in Lower Chapel Features Y Joint Event

A joint Christmas program will be held Thursday night in the lower chapel at 7:00. The program opens with Christmas carols, then the Christmas story is read. Solo performances by Miss Pierce and Orville Rennie, a reading by Elsie Koberg, and a short talk by Professor Wildman are planned.

Santa Closes Christmas Party Night for Cornell Seniors

Fourth year Cornell seniors will host a pre Christmas party featuring Santa Claus and a real tree at Adelphian Alethean hall at 7 30 tomorrow night. Senior women receive 11 00 hours as a special concession with Miss Betts Professor Cherrington and Prof and Mrs Tull as chaperones. A rumor of a spiritualist seance circulates among the seniors.

The Zet-Amphic debate at Zetagathian hall ended 2 to 1 in favor of the Amphictyons affirming a cabinet government like Britain. Winners were Melvin Gundry, Lester Runkle, Louis Plaehn. Zetagathians parleyed George Smith, Virgil Rosenbaum, Scott Kintzley. Next, Parmenians Burnham, Thiessen, Beers face Miltonians Ennis, Hackett, Pippert at 6:40.

Finger and Keyes to Attend Midwest Conference Meeting

Director of Athletics Finger and Professor Keyes of the Athletic Board will attend the Midwest Conference meeting at 10 oclock Saturday morning at Hotel Sherman in Chicago. The conference will discuss next seasons football schedules and conduct general conference business.

Paul Dee was elected Cornell football captain once again by a large majority on a Friday afternoon, marking the first time since Arlo Sanderson that a captain has held the role for two consecutive seasons. Dee already holds two letters and will pilot the 1923 eleven.

Promethean team Una Finor Dorothy Deeds Pearl Shirley and Bessie McNiel will argue the affirmative against Helen Bauck Elsie Schlue Nellie Ellis of the Aesthesian society. Alice Schwiebert Dorothy Scroggie and Wilma Klaiss form the Roman team to clash with Philo Eunice Hansmeier Ally Thomas and Mildred Court. Kerwin Named to All-State Team as Corners Guard

Cornell football standout Carl Kerwin earned a guard spot on the Des Moines Register all-state third eleven becoming the first Cornellian named to an all-state team in years. Captains Dee and Eddie Hires received honorable mention among linemen with Kenneth Greene noted for backfield work. First team selections include Iowa, Drake and Coe with Kadesky Vernimont Thompson Denton Minnick Meade Heldt Orebaugh Boeker Collins Locke filling posts.

Christmas Party at W.S.G.A. Honors Girls with Santa Treats

A Christmassy gym scene featured W. S. G. A. girls for a Christmas party directed by Miss Errant. The celebration included games folk dancing and an apple relay race with Christmas stories told. Santa Claus then arrived and gave each girl a treat.
