Geology Club announces officers Mike Vesio as president and Ed White as secretary treasurer. Upcoming programs include December 7 slides from the summer field camp at Camp Norton and January 12 discussion of Highway Commission work experiences by Ed White and Tom Ore. Oil Furnace Installed at Altoona Dormitory During Thanksgiving
At Cornell College Altoona campus a new double nozzle oil burner replaced the stoker heating the steam boiler. The stoker was removed and the pit cemented over. An oil tank was hoisted into a rear shed and installed by college staff.

On the Cornell campus the Allee Chapel brick work is finished and roof rafter work began last week. George L Albright and crew lead construction as Mike Schick works when weather allows on steam line excavation connecting to the main near Bowman hall. Cold weather slowed progress.

Mikhail to Speak in CSF Series Encounter With Revolution
Mikhail Antoni, a University of Iowa graduate student and Egypt citizen, will open CSF’s Encounter With Revolution series on Sunday December 4 in the Presbyterian Church. He will discuss Africa’s economic social and ideological revolutions followed by discussion groups moderated by Iowa students.

Bittenbender Cites Church Position In World Revolution
Edwin Bittenbender representing the Ecumenical Student Movement spoke at the chapel on The Church and World Revolution. He recently returned from India and is one of twenty five representatives touring campuses to discuss Christian missions and the Ecumenical Student Conference at Ohio University Athens Ohio set for December 27 1955 to January 1 1956 with the theme Revolution and Reconciliation. The event will bring about three thousand college students including foreign students. CSF reports forty dollars raised in Cedar Rapids for a conference representative.

Moliere Play Le Misanthrope To Open In Little Theatre

Chapel Program Includes Student Body Fire Drill
A fire drill is planned for the Chapel program on Tuesday December 6. Darwin Cook Assistant Fire Chief of the Mount Vernon Volunteer Fire Department will explain the exit plan for evacuating the Chapel. This is part of the annual inspection program by the fire department.
