Cagers Schedule Two Tough Games Next Weekend

A group of Cornell students and faculty attended a chemical lecture in Iowa City Tuesday evening by Dr Wilder D Bancroft of Cornell University. All-College Sing Held At Chapel

The Freshman Extension project of the C. C. A. under Elizabeth Wallis sponsored an all college sing at chapel Wednesday morning. Professor Tull led students in folk songs and college loyalty songs. Similar song services will occur at chapel throughout the year.

Lane Discusses Truth in Chapel Talk

In a morning chapel Professor Lane challenged students to define truth and examined whether truth is sincerity or fact. He argued authority shows truth in civilization and warned that if we are neither D D nor B S we are heretics. Students debated the lecture at lunch and morning classes.

Preparations start for Cranbridge and Cambridge debating series with a resolution opposing armed protection of foreign capital without formal war declaration. Debates with Carleton, Lawrence, Albion and Beloit planned for March. Coe and Beloit also in schedule. Tryouts announced via chapel meeting. an oratorical contest is planned.

Lisbon Carol Program by Women's Glee Club Sunday

The Women's Glee Club under Miss Ruth Pinkerton will present a Christmas carol program at the Lisbon Methodist Church Sunday at 4 30 pm followed by a church supper. The concert features carols from French Polish Spanish German Russian Austrian and English traditions with solos by Essie Mae Thompson Elizabeth Wallis and Professor John L Conrad. Pipe organ by Alice Louise Spencer and piano by Annette Patrack accompany the performance.

Dr George A Coe to Speak on Do Colleges Educate

Dr George A Coe, renowned in religious psychology and education, will lecture Thursday at eight in the Cornell auditorium on Do Colleges Educate. He has taught at Union Theological Seminary and Columbia University and will stay on campus Friday for chapel and student meetings.

Sherm Finger Visits Campus

Sherm Finger former athletic director at Cornell visited the campus yesterday and heads to Chicago for a Midwest and Big Ten conference mentors meeting this weekend. He coached football at the local school for seventeen years and left a lasting mark on the team with slogans still visible in the gym. This marks the first time in 20 years he has not witnessed a Cornell grid team in action due to a hospital stay in Rochester Minnesota.

Press Convention Set for Iowa City in April 1928

The 1928 Iowa College Press Association convention will be held at the University of Iowa with date to be announced in April. Blayne McCurrey of Grinnell announces the event and Margaret Weishaar of Grinnell is named secretary treasurer. Theodore K. Koop of the Daily Iowan will fill the vacancy left by Marvin Logan. Last year’s meeting was in Grinnell with seventeen colleges represented. About thirty Cornell students and faculty bought season tickets to Coe College artists course four concerts begin with the Flonzaley quartet Tuesday.
