Oratory Recital Held by Association Hall Students
In Association Hall the Oratory Department hosted its monthly recital with four pieces. Alberts opened with Aux Italiens, Bowen interpreted Miss Archer Archer, Umbreit spoke A Transatlantic Romance, and Hovious closed with Mrs McKee on the Higher Cult. The performance showed high class work under Miss Baker despite some stiffness from two readers.

Martin lorns Contest at Milton Hall Draws Local Winners
Miltonians held the Second Martin lorns Contest with Harold Trease taking first prize and Herbert Peet second. Judges were Professors Meyers Lamale and Garrard. Trease won a Martin lorns watch fob, Peet received a cash prize. Speakers included Chas Harris and Herbert Peet among others. Senior class pins arrive for sale at Hoover jewelry store.

Girls Grex holds second annual social event
The second annual Grex attracted about 225 guests including college girls and Guild ladies in the gym reception area. Dean MacLeod and Miss Marjorie Edwards introduced speakers after breakfast as Mrs W Adams read a Greeting from the College Guild and Mrs Alice Rigby Moore recalled Cornell from a distant view and the college’s influence on its graduates.

Bass Henri Scott Triumphs In Rome Opera Roles
Philadelphia native Henri Scott of the Chicago and Philadelphian Grand Opera Company achieved early triumphs in Rome. He became the first fully American trained bass to find success in Italy and one of the few Americans to headline in a leading American opera house.
