Returning from their eighteenth annual tour the Men’s Glee Club presented a home concert to a full house. The review praises the singing tone and variety of moods while noting director Patton and accompanist Huffman contributed strong solo and ensemble work.

Cornell begins spring football drills with Ash Park sessions three times weekly. The program focuses on fundamentals line and backfield play and teamwork under captain elect Alan Gowans and coach Sherm Finger as they prepare for the 1920 season.
Summer session plans include Economics and Sociology courses led by Professor Keister, Marketing Problems, Family and Home, and English classes taught by Professor Clarence D. Stevens of the University of Cincinnati. Stevens will teach two term courses on Shakespeare and English fiction with credit for one term. Additional offerings include Advanced French, Beginning Spanish, Education, High School Methodology, and chemistry topics with laboratory work.
The Girls Grex will take place May 8 at the gymnasium with speaker Miss Sara Brown a Cornell graduate now in Lansing Mich. The event targets college women and representative high school girls statewide and tickets will be sold soon. Past speakers include Judge Mary Bartelme Dr Mary L McEwen and Ida M Tarbel.

A spring feature at Cornell will be an all college baseball league to run about six weeks. Coach Finger calls a Monday meeting at two in his office for all interested “Scrub” nine representatives to form teams from faculty, rooming houses, clubs, and other groups. Each player may belong to only one team. Sunday schools, Art School, and other organizations may enter.
Arthur L. Phelps, a 1906 University of Toronto graduate with a master's from Toronto, joins Prof Tull as English professor. A noted writer of prose and poetry, his work appears in Campbell Anthology Canadian Singers and their Songs and Poetry. He chose the college for its strong academic environment.
The Amphictyon Society held its annual initiation banquet on Friday the sixteenth. Freshmen performed an impromptu program of aesthetic dancing debates and duets before an excellent banquet and music. The room featured crepe streamers forming a dome and a lattice concealing the orchestra. The toast program titled The Drama of Life was led by Prof Himstead and well received.
The 1921 Royal Purple will be on sale next Friday morning after chapel. Price remains four dollars despite higher paper and labor costs. Prepaid buyers may receive books Friday morning. balance due then. The annual features novel sections on beauty, attractiveness, and popularity. Contents showcase societies, athletic teams, glee clubs, orchestra, student council, oratorio society, Christian associations, student volunteers and more.
