The college library received a folio volume of 374 pages with facsimile reproduction of an ancient Gospel manuscript found in Egypt. Published by Charles D. Freer, the edition is numbered 218, with only a few rival manuscripts of similar age. The document, dating to around 400 A D, was kept in a Coptic monastery and bound with portraits of Matthew, John, Luke, and Mark.
