Growing Town of St. Joe Projections and Plans

AG Morrow of the Western Townette company fanned the idea of a new town of St Joe across from the old site. He says within five years it will house 7000 to 10000 people with $6000 daily wages paid to workers and a $1,000,000 paper mill investment led by B Pride of Appleton. The Monarch Lumber company already operates a sawmill and plans to produce up to 160000 lumber daily. over 50 houses are under construction for workers. A Seattle wood base plans a 50 room four story hotel at the townsite with $29000 investment. Over 100 men work on streets and a power plant lights camps. electricity may come from the St Joe dam. The railroad reserves about 90 acres for yard space. whether a divisional point is built remains undecided.
